50 KW, Forney Super 8 Inn, Wyndham, TX – REAPing Solar Savings

This project was funded by the Rural Energy Assistance Program (REAP) of the US Department of Agriculture. Like the SBA Green Loan Program, this federal program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to make energy-efficiency improvements. The location of this hotel qualified it for federal REAP benefits. Universal Solar System discovered this financing option and communicated it to the hotel owners, who enthusiastically and successfully pursued it. This really helped the business, as the owners were able to pay off the cost of their solar system, we installed in one year and are now using free electricity. They are delighted with their decision to go solar because they are not only saving money but are using clean renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions. What’s not to like?
